I am no doctor, but every friend I have who was diagnosed with high blood pressure had a similar symptom of neck pain and/or nasty headaches.

I believe it is very bad to go off HBP medicine without a doctors advising you to. You do not appear to have good readings and if you want to avoid complications you need to take the medicine as prescribed, IMO.

Maybe the Atenolol pills weren’t the right ones for you. Please contact your doctor and take this seriously. Heart attacks and strokes are not the end result you want.

    Try Glucosomine…worked for me!

Why on earth would you stop this medication and put yourself at risk for a heart attack or stoke? It doesn’t make sense. This medication is not causing your neck pain. There are lots of things you can do for your neck without doing something that can cause death! Go to a chiropractor, go to physical therapy, take some pain medication, continue the massages, apply some heat, have an MRI to find out what is wrong in your neck. Get back on your medication NOW then work on your neck.

do go back to your hypotensive medication please, your blood pressure is extremely high your at risk of having a stroke or heart attack, better still go see g.p. if not get to a&e
Your neck seems to be the problem resulting fom your high B/P
