Is there any way of reducing the pain of a stiff neck in a matter of hours?

I need to go somewhere today, and i have to attend it. So clearly i need this stiff neck to be relieved. I woke up with it and i need to do something to relieve it! Anyone help??

    OK… this will definitely help… and it’s quick. It would be better to have someone do it to you, but if that’s not possible, you can do it to yourself.

    Firmly grasp the meaty part of the back of the neck using the palm of the hand and the flat surfaces of the fingers (NOT the tips). Hold that grip for about a minute and then SLOWLY release. Then using the same type of grip, grasp the muscle that runs down both sides of the neck to the tops of the shoulders (called the trapezius muscles). Again hold the grip for about a minute and then slowly release. You can repeat this if necessary, just let about a minute elapse between each grasping.

    try chiropractor stat.. some people twist and pop there own neck… have someone hold head up off shoulder this will strech and release spasms.. all our ideas should help..

    A good method of self treatment is to use moist heat for neck pain relief and self massage to ease some of the tension. For massage, be careful not to strain while reaching back.
